I Love You (Levi X Reader)

It was a beautiful day; calm, peaceful and serene.


The dazzling rays of sunshine basks the world with its life and warmth. The sky, dyed with the softest shade of blue, gently painted with a fluff of white clouds fosters an unperturbed emotion to whoever glimpses a sight of its majesty. Myriads of birds singing hymns of wonderful sonatas create a wonderful feeling of tranquility to anyone who hears their woes of attention.


The smell of the breeze created a radiant curve on your lip as it makes its way to your small frame. ‘Ahhh, days like these make life worth living’ you thought.


It is not often that you get the chance to relish these kinds of occurrence. If you are an affiliate of the survey corps, you’ll surely know why.


“Humm~~~ mmmm~~ lalala…”


Happily singing your favorite song while occasionally blurting out some lyrics, you sauntered your way to Corporal Levi’s domain. It was your routine to stop by Levi’s office whenever you get the chance. Normally, if someone was to do that, they’d end up running a bizarre number of laps or luckily clean the stables every day for the rest of their life. You, on other hand, were exempted from all this absurd penance. Not literally exempted from all penalties but, let’s say, your punishments were a lot simpler than that of your colleagues. Why? Well, maybe because he was rather fond of you just as you were fond of him. Somehow, the both of you share a mutual bond that is beyond any other. He was not your boyfriend and yet it didn't bother you at all. Besides, you both lived in an era where there is always impending danger and death, no more than your next door neighbor. To you it was better to be in this kind of relation where there were no strings attached, no ‘I love you’s’ spoken. But that being said, you know in your heart, you wanted it to be the other way around.


You were almost at the entrance of Levi’s base when you noticed three figures busy pushing and tugging each other’s company. They actually look like they were having a comical skit; you couldn't help but chortle a bit at their predicament.  As what you could see from where you were standing, all of them were carrying piles of paperwork. ‘Must be for Levi’ you mused.

“EREN! ARMIN! JEAN! What game are you playing? You called out to them, a smile evident on your face.

The three of them looked at you with extreme disbelief plastered on their faces.

“What?” obviously confused by the way they looked at you. “Do I look weird or something?”

“N-no, it’s not that. J-just Shhhhh (Name). Speak quietly.” Armin spoke as silently as he could.

“eh? But Why?! “ You asked loudly still baffled by what was happening.

“A-Just please. Please.“  Eren mumbled every word that came out of his mouth.

You let out a small giggle. Each of their visages looked distressed as their eyes gape at you with mercy written all over it. They looked like cute little puppies drenched in the cold rain. ‘Ahhh cute :3’

“Alright then.” You gave them an assured look. “Why are we whispering anyway?”

“See this name.” Jean responded while showing you the heaps of paper piled on his hands.

You nodded.

“Commander Erwin ordered us to bring this to Corporal Levi.”

“uh-huh. And?” you looked at him questioningly.

“This is the tenth batch (Name).”

“EHHH?!” you shrieked causing the three of them to widen their eyes in horror.

“SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”  They hushed you with pure terror apparent on their faces.

“Seriously (Name), you’ll  definitely get us killed!” Eren manage to give you a whispered shout.

You looked at them disapprovingly. ‘Seriously? Tenth ?’ you thought to yourself perplexed by the huge amount of work that has befallen Levi.

“Okay. Jeez, I’m sorry.” You let out a sigh.

“And what’s with Silly Brow today?” you pouted. ’Poor Levi’ you thought feeling sorry for the man you cared the most.

“Anyway, how is this related to us whispering in front of Levi’s o--- BAAAMMMMM! Click..Click..

You failed to finish what you were going to say as the four of you heard a loud bang inside Levi’s office followed by the discrete sound of footsteps nearing your silhouettes. In a matter of seconds, your companions vanished like thin air leaving you with the pile of paperwork on your hands which covered the entirety of your face.


BANG!


The door flew open with so much force that some of the papers you were currently holding flew away, only to fall to the ground. You tilted your head to the side only to find a very stressed and pissed Levi. Dark circles were now evident on his handsome visage. His brows were furrowed. He was definitely in a bad mood.  No wonder those three were in a state of pure horror. Worry flashed your face as you continue to gaze at him. ‘I’ll definitely shave Erwin’s brows later’ you mentally remarked.

You did somehow manage to give him a sweet smile as you utter his name. “Levi.”

Upon hearing your voice and seeing your worried face smiling at him, he felt relief flash over him but as soon as he realized what you were carrying, it immediately returned to that anxious looked he had earlier. He grabbed all of the pile of papers you were just holding and went inside the office. He carefully placed his load to the free space on his table. As you entered the room, you were surprised to find the room to be clean as it always was. Considering the amount of paper work there is, it's amazing how he still keeps this place clean. 'Typical Levi'.

You watched him intently as he gave out a tired sigh while brushing his hair up in a frustrating manner.

And then, an idea popped in your head.


“Levi, let's have tea, ne?”


He turned to your direction and gave out another exasperated sigh. You figured he was kind of doubtful by your proposition; after all, he had loads of work to do. You know this coming so you had a back-up plan just in case.


“No? ahh Too bad. Well, maybe I should just ask Eren, or maybe Armin. Hmmm~ AH! Jean! Jean would be the perfect partner!”  You gave him that cheeky smile of yours. He never really liked it very much when you mention any other man’s name besides himself.

He was now staring daggers at you. You pretended to walk away from his office only to be stopped by Levi's remark.“ Tea. Five minutes... idiotic brat.” He asserted.


Brushing off the profanities, a wide grin was now apparent on your face. .

’ Mission Success’

Just as you were about to make that tea, you were suddenly halted again as you heard Levi’s mumbling.

“Why would you even make tea for a shitty horse.” A displeased look etched all over his face.

“Levi. You know Jean’s not a horse.” You countered.

Arms crossing, he gave you the most deadpanned look.

“Really, his not.”

He raised one of his eyebrows still giving you ‘the look’. It’s like he wanted you to admit that Jean is indeed a horse, which is not true. The poor man is bullied enough as it is.

“Alright. Alright. Jeez, But his not a horse okay? Maybe he just has that tiiiiiiinnnnny bit of resemblance to an odd-toed ungulate mammal--”

“Which is a horse.” Levi added.

You administer a mean glare to his direction. Seriously, after all the trouble explaining everything else, he just has to say it.

“Fine! Let’s just bury the hatchet and move on.”
 
After hearing those words came out of your mouth, Levi let out a triumphant smirk. Victory engraved all over his countenance.

You gazed at him and you beam at him softly. ‘At least, he’s gratified’


~~~~~~time skips Tea Time ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Now wasn’t that refreshing?” You gleefully chirped as you carefully placed the teacup on the table. You looked at the direction of Levi only to find him already continuing his tasks at hand, scribbling and stamping every now and then. His brows once again furrowed.

You strode your way to Levi’s table standing at the back of his chair. You warily brought your hand to his jet black hair, slowly caressing the smooth and silky strands with your finger tips. He didn’t seem to mind your gentle and loving touches, which is until you playfully tug his hair.

“Oi, brat. If you don’t have anything to do, go torment the couch. “

“Tsk” You pouted, displeased by his sudden outburst. You were not the type of person to give up easily though so you continued to work your way to get Levi’s attention and just now, you had thought of the perfect plan. You maneuvered yourself cautiously on his side, leaning close to his ear.

“Levi~” You mumbled. He placed his pen and turned to your direction completely annoyed. He was giving you the ‘what’ and ‘this better be important’ look. You raised your hand not intimidated by the scowl prominent on his profile. Softly touching the contours of his face, gazing your (E/N) orbs to his’, you gently spoke,


“I love you.”  


You didn’t  gave him the chance to react as you tilted your head slightly, slowly leaning forward, slowly closing your eyes, enclosing the gap between the two of you. You mustered every ounce of your feelings to that one kiss, you were hopeful that he could feel it too. Your heartbeat immensely pounds itself on your chest and butterflies danced in the pit of your stomach. The second you realized what you had just done you broke the kiss, you didn’t even gave Levi the opportunity to kiss back, if he ever did want to kiss you back. You stood up, prowling quickly out of Levi’s office. Just as you were about to open the door and hand flew itself on the knob while the other snaked itself on your waist. You felt your blood rushed to your face; you swear you probably looked like an overripe tomato. Tension resonated throughout your body.


“Where do you think you're going (Name)?”


You could feel Levi’s hot breath tickle your ears as he whispers to you, intensely.

“Out to torment someone’s couch.” You manage to give him a decent response without stuttering every single word that came out of your mouth.

He let go of the knob and indulged you in a warm and soothing embrace, creating a plethora of emotions throughout your system. He lets out a hum as he lavished your neck with sweet butterfly kisses, sending shivers on your spine. Your head automatically inclined to the side giving him better access to kiss and nip your skin. Not being able to control the feeling of euphoria, a moan slipped its way out of your mouth. Levi stopped his ministrations; you could feel him smirk. ‘Arrogant bastard’ you could feel your inner goddess exclaim as he pulled you closer to his warmth.





“Stay. ”





Astounded by Levi’s pleading yet mighty remark, you remained still and speechless. (Not knowing what you should do at the moment)

In a little while, he released his hold on you and gently turned you around so that now you are facing him. Feeling self-conscious, you took a step back hitting the door behind you. In an attempt to cover your probably silly face, you raised your hand only to be stopped midway. Levi’s larger hands pinned yours on the wooden door. Your face grew hotter and you could feel your breathing quicken. Your gaze fell to the ground as nervousness filled your senses.

“Look at me… please.”


Upon hearing the last word of his statement, you immediately looked at him in the eye, surprised. Begging was never Levi’s forte; he was the kind of man to let others beg for him and not the other way around. You studied his face only to be amazed at how earnest he was gazing you. The way his beautiful silver-gray eyes fell upon yours’ gave you a feeling of passion, tenderness and ….love.

“Levi. Let go of my hands.”


Hurt flashed Levi’s eyes as he apprehended what you just said. He gently lowered his hands, releasing yours’ from captivity. Just as he was about to walk away, you reached out your hands to capture his hand, raising it towards your cheeks, softly kissing his palm. A smile lit up your face as you sang the words he longed for you to say.



“Okay..

I’ll stay”



Grabbing you by the waist, he wasted no time in capturing your lips and brushing it with his own. Time stood still as the two of serenaded in a melted kiss. Tongues dancing with fervor, teeth clashed as the need for closer warmth engulfed each other’s senses. Battle for dominance took its place only to be won by humanities strongest warrior. Surrendering on his whim, you continued to follow the rhythm he was leading,  

Time stopped leaving the two of you intertwined in a euphoric standstill.And for once, in this miserable world of constant sorrows and death, you felt paradise.


Breaking the kiss, you two gasped for a bit of air. Levi proceeded to shower your jaw line with soft, velvet kisses as you catch you raspy breathing. Finally regaining air in your lungs, you continued your duel as Levi lifted you, encircling your legs around his torso. He then gently led you to the couch, placing you gently on the comfy piece of furniture.


In the midst of your euphoria, he broke the kiss again.


Face flustered, you look at him displeased with the sudden lost of contact.


Just as you were about to retort, his face showed the lightest shade of pink, his lips curved in a light smile as he softly spoke the words you have always, always wanted to hear.


Eyes brimming with tears, smiling radiantly, you leaned again to capture his lips on your own.






What he uttered was only three words long and yet

…. it was the most beautiful thing in the world.
